Monday: Lost Gloves
DAILY BLOG
My post content
It's strange how often people lose one glove.
Not both.
Just one.
Somewhere along the way, one disappears and the other is left behind.
You find it months later in a coat pocket, a car compartment, or the back of a closet. By then, the match is long gone.
The remaining glove becomes useless.
At least that's what we tell ourselves.
Life has a lot of unfinished pairs.
Projects we meant to finish.
Phone calls we meant to return.
Books we intended to read.
Friendships that slowly faded without a clear reason why.
Sometimes things don't end dramatically.
They simply drift apart.
One piece remains while the other disappears.
Most of us don't like incomplete things.
We want closure.
We want answers.
We want every story neatly wrapped up with a proper ending.
But life rarely works that way.
Some chapters stay unfinished.
Some questions never get answered.
Some people leave before we get a chance to say everything we wanted to say.
And yet life continues.
Perhaps part of growing older is learning that not everything needs a perfect conclusion.
Sometimes we carry the single glove.
Not because it's useful.
Because it reminds us of something that mattered.
The incomplete things are part of our story too.
Maybe they're what teach us appreciation in the first place.
Something to think about: Is there an unfinished chapter in your life that still crosses your mind from time to time?
