Celebrating A Month In

Today marks one full month of writing my daily blog.

What an exciting milestone.

When I first sat down on June 15 to write my very first daily reflection, I honestly didn't know where this journey would lead.

Now here I am...

One month later.

Still writing.

Still reflecting.

Still looking forward to sitting down each day to see what thought finds me next.

Looking back over this past month, I can't help but wonder where all of those topics came from.

Every single day seemed to present another title.

Another question.

Another observation.

Another lesson.

I guess that tells me I had a lot more to write about than I ever realized.

Life has a funny way of doing that.

When we slow down long enough to pay attention, we discover there's inspiration all around us.

The smallest moments often become the biggest conversations.

This monthly reflection joins today's daily blog, and I couldn't be happier about that.

It feels like a nice way to celebrate reaching this first milestone.

As I sit here writing this evening, I happen to be watching B.P. on YouTube.

It's actually pretty interesting.

They're visiting different restaurants and trying burgers to decide which place serves the best one.

Now that's research I wouldn't mind helping with!

Outside of that...

The weather has definitely been making its presence known.

It's storming outside.

Matter of fact, my phone has already sent me two weather alerts within the last thirty minutes.

Monsoon season has officially reminded Arizona that it's still in charge.

I should probably stop writing for a moment and turn off my nightstand lamp.

Just in case the power decides it has other plans for the evening.

Better safe than sorry, right?

But before I do...

Let me squeeze in just a few more lines.

I'm really glad I remembered to write tonight.

For a brief moment, I almost forgot.

Can you imagine?

After writing every day for a month, I almost missed today's entry.

Thankfully, it crossed my mind before the day came to an end.

That would've been a close call.

Overall, this month has been a really good one.

I've enjoyed it.

The monsoon evenings.

The quiet mornings.

The time off from work.

The opportunities to write.

The chance to slow down and simply enjoy life a little more.

I've been having fun.

Life has been good.

And yes...

That imaginary million dollars from today's daily blog still sounds pretty wonderful.

A woman can dream, can't she?

Maybe one day I'll have some real breaking news to share.

Until then...

I'll keep dreaming.

I'll keep writing.

And I'll keep enjoying this journey one day at a time.

Well...

It's getting late.

My day is winding down.

And as I like to say...

3:00 a.m. comes early.

As the wind continues to blow outside and the rain reminds me that nature has its own schedule, I find myself feeling grateful.

Grateful for another month of writing.

Grateful for another day.

And grateful for everyone who has taken a few moments out of their day to read these reflections.
